Emotions according to popular belief is “energy in motion” . When emotion stop being expressed they supposedly find a resting place in the body – in muscles, organs, tissues. Health problems are said to manifest when this happens on a sustained basis .
One of the most popular manifestation where mass consciousness was involved was the “Beijing Flu” . Its appearance correlated with the Tianamen events where a popular uprising was put down by a show of force. Could the supressed feelings of anger at a mass level be traced to the appearance of the “The Beijing Flu”?
Many discussions and counter arguements have been posed and I just want to explore this and dare if possible to take this to a micro level – at the level of our cells and body. Is the herald of an ailment be it viral, bacterial symptomatic of some unexpressed emotion – the severity denoting the length of time this has been happening?
Lots of books expounding the Mind Body Connection have been wriiten amongst them Louise Hay and the easily readable book “You Can Heal Your Life”. I have read this book and others such as “Your Body Speaks Your Mind” and “Awakening Initution” all by different authors. It is compelling reading and the philosopy that the body serves as a true barometer of our self is highly persuasive. If we take the messages being signalled by our body we could embark on a inspirational journey of understanding and wellness.
If we truly understood the messages our body give us and take notice we would defintely be happier and more contented as we cease to be at war with ourselves. Along the way lessons are learnt and I believe that if we truly want to take charge of our life one aspect is to hear our body’s messages . We would never be truly free if we are not in balance mind, body and spirit
